The Locale

The vast Argentine territory is marked by a diverse collection of landscapes. It’s where ice fields exist in stark contrast with arid zones. Where majestic mountains separate valleys and plateaus. Where fluvial streams and pristine lakes meet expansive oceans. Where broad grassy plains set off dense forests. You’ll find remarkable seasonal phenomenon--The Short San Juan Summer and the Santa Rosa Storms. In short, Argentina is every bit the natural wonder its reputation boasts. It is in the Andes Mountains near the city of Bariloche that that we hunt the Red Stag.

The Accommodations

Expect the hunt of a lifetime and as fair chase as you can get. You'll enjoy Alaskan wall tents complete with beds, electricity and heaters, getting you close to the action in a perfect atmosphere for trophy horse back Red Stag hunting. The complex has a bathroom facility complete with hot water and dinning tent. The food is exquisite, featuring an array of Argentina beef, chicken and pastas delicately prepared over an open fire and coupled with choice Argentine wines. The ideal limit for this wilderness adventure is two to three hunters, maximizing the resources and experience for everyone.

The Hunt

In Argentina, Red Stag is the commonly known as the Monarch of the Mountain and is typically considered the most beautiful antlered animal on the planet. The hunting is mainly done by horseback, walking and stalking and you should see several stags every day. You’ll thrill at stalking this majestic free-range deer in the rutting season normally from March through mid April, where 10- to 12-pointers are common but the potential for bigger stags is always possible.
