The Locale

Located in the middle of Argentina in the province of Cordoba. While Cordoba City is the second largest city in Argentina it is also one of the largest agricultural provinces in all of Argentina for corn, sunflowers, and peanuts which keeps Doves and Pigeons in the area all year around. Just north of the city are two of the largest Dove roost in the world called La Macha and Churqui. It is in between these two roosts that the Estancia Posta del Norte was built with the sole purpose of entertaining exclusive small to medium sized groups of hunters.

The Accommodations

The lodge at Posta del Norte--built specifically to house dove hunters--can only be described as exquisite. You’ll relish the very cozy and warm ambiance that will make you feel right at home. It features six very comfortable rooms and an extra loft room, each with two twin beds and a private bathroom. It boasts a remarkable gaucho bar and nice living areas for social interaction and world-class white-glove service from a staff that is extremely friendly and makes you feel as if Posta del Norte is your Argentine home. Remember this lodge will give exclusive use of the lodge for small groups of 5-8 hunters!

The Hunt

The shooting can only be described as one of the finest dove hunting experiences you’ll find on the planet. The hunt originates in Cordoba City where our outfitters will meet your group and after assisting you through gun registration and customs will drive a short hour and a half to the Post del Norte lodge. Depending on your flights you should have time to get settled in and a quick lunch before heading out for the afternoons shoot. The following three days are full shooting days with specially prepared field Asado at mid day complete with cots to take a siesta before heading back out for the afternoons shoot. The drive to the fields are seldom more than 30 minutes from the lodge so expect to shoot lots and lots of shells as the birds practically fly all day long. The last day will be a half day of shooting before returning to the lodge to get packed and settled up before having a late lunch and returning to Cordoba for your flight back to the States.
